Jarrett Wilkes/ArborServe has completed several major projects on our historic estate located in Forest, Virginia. Jarrett has been performing work on the property for +15 years, first for my in-laws before my wife inherited the home and adjoining farm 8 years ago. There are 46 historic trees in our front yard alone of which Jarrett has taken great care removing unnecessary limbs which could fall off in a heavy storm. He has cleared unnecessary heavy brush and nuisance trees along 1,000 feet of fences thereby improving both the view and physical appearance of the property. Excellent and frequent communications keeping us informed is part of his overall great service. We highly recommend Jarrett for his “hands-on” work: he just doesn’t quote the job — he is actively engaged in performing the work as well!

Jarrett does awesome work! And not just on trees we are super thankful to have someone to call with different kinds of equipment to come out and help us with an assortment of projects anything from trail clearing to creek crossings and chopping up trees.

Rustburg, VA | Campbell County Watts Property Management, 2026
Jarrett and his crew at AborServe were suggested to get a quote from when a sudden tree problem arose on my property this year. My phone call to him was promptly returned with a time for us to meet and go over what needed to be done. His quote was very affordable and he had me scheduled in a short time to get the job on its way. I will not hesitate to call on Jarrett/ArborServe LLC for future needs and will highly recommend his company going forward. Thanks for your hard work Jarrett!
Madison Heights, VA | Amherst County Richard Campbell, 2026
ArborServe introduced us to the concept of forestry mulching and did a tremendous job preparing our future homesite. All of the undergrowth and small trees were carefully removed, leaving us with healthy mature trees and a beautiful canopy. We are now able to better visualize the site ahead of construction and, with Jarret’s guidance, ensure that the building process will not damage the roots of the trees immediately around the house. The work was done with care and great attention to detail, and we look forward to working with ArborServe on this and other projects on our land.

Today is the third time we have had Jarrett out to help us with our trees. Over the years, he has trimmed trees and removed trees. His prices are good, but more importantly, he is dependable and a pleasure to work with. We will not hesitate to hire him again if the need arises.

Jarrett Wilkes has taken care of the trees at our house for years. He just took down a large sycamore that was declining. Did a great job as always. Very professional and always enjoy working with him.
Lynchburg, VA | City of Lynchburg Kristine Lloyd, 2025
I feel no need to find another tree guy. We have two gigantic willow oaks that needed deadwood removed. They are excellent about explaining what needs to be done and are patient when I have to ask multiple questions to understand. They were on time, efficient, and a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend them.
Lynchburg, VA | City of Lynchburg Stuart Twery, 2025
I’ve had Jarrett work on several jobs for me and he is my first call whenever I need any tree work done. He is dependable and a very knowledgeable and skilled arborist; very professional in all that he does. I enjoy working with professionals who have a passion for what they do. Jarrett definitely loves what he does and it shows in how he approaches every job.
Forest, VA | Bedford County Matthew Hankins, 2025
I have done business with ArborServe several times in the past few years and have nothing but praise for this company and its owner and founder, Jarrett Wilkes, a certified arborist from Virginia Tech.
Recently ArborServe removed from my yard two established bamboo groves, wire fencing including posts, two trees, and significant amounts of thick underbrush. In addition to land clearing, ArborServe has also removed two large fifty year old pine trees that were at risk of falling onto my house. Clean up on all jobs was done immediately and my yard was left with no remnants of debris. The fencing that was removed was stacked for bulk pickup under city specifications.
In addition to land clearing, ArborServe is qualified to evaluate the health of trees, identify trees that pose a risk to property and how to prevent trees from becoming a danger or nuisance.
In short, ArborServe provided excellent service at a fair and reasonable price completed in a timely manner. I highly recommend ArborServe and give it a 5-star rating.

It is a pleasure to work with ArborServe, Jarrett’s professionalism and knowledge really sets him apart from competitors; this coupled with his dependability made our experience enjoyable. Jarrett was meticulous in cleaning up our neglected forest floor, mulching and clearing years of wood debris and creating a parklike setting.
